World Battle (Game of Battles): A Copy of Clash of Clans with a Modern Theme

I have to say Clash of Clans is by far one of the most successful mobile games no matter on the App Store and Google Play. That is why plenty of developers including big companies like 2K Games, Gameloft, and Microsoft (Age of Empires: World Domination) were, are and will be copying such type of game.

Today, I have been told a game called World Battle is released for Android that plays similarly to Clash of Clans. In fact, there had been a game called Game of Battles out there that is definitely the same game with World Battle. What is different is World Battle is published by NG Creative and Game of Battles is published by Koolgig Studio.

World Battle (Game of Battles) is a total copy of Clash of Clans. Everything from sound, troops, heroes and structures are copied from Clash of Clans and Boom Beach, just under a modern theme. Such copycat immediately reminds me of GREE’s Call to Arms.

At this moment, the game does not add the clan wars, but if you don’t bother playing a copycat of Clash of Clans, just take a try on this game.

Is Age of Empires: World Domination a Copycat of Clash of Clans?

Yesterday, Microsoft and KLabGames announced that Age of Empires: World Domination will be released for iOS, Android and Windows Phone this summer.  Along with the announcement, a gameplay trailer for the game had surfaced online and attracted my attention simply because the gameplay involving the trailer is too much like that of Clash of Clans.

According to the announcement,  Age of Empires: World Domination will be a free to play empire building game where players play as Celts, Vikings, Franks and Huns to build their empires and then lead troops to victory.

If the game will finally play similarly to Clash of Clans, players will have to manage their city by spending a lot of time on building structures and troops. Also, IAPs are an inseparable part of the game. You will download the game for free and then purchase in-app currency to speed up your building and other items.

We are still not sure if the gameplay takes shape, but the graphics remind me of Age of Empires Online. One thing for sure is the game is not the traditional Age of Empires game you played. It is just the next-gen mobile strategy game based on Age of Empires.

Second Earth: Emphasizes Strategy over COC mechanics

If you are an Android gamer living in Canada, you might have already played “Second Earth“, a sci-fi strategy game that resembles Clash of Clans very much. Since this game were released for limited countries for the purpose of beta testing on the Android Platform, you may not pick up this game if you are not an Android user, or were unable to access and download the game.

Today, developer NtreevSoft launches the game in the Canadian App Store aiming to test it on the iOS platform. The game, as I just mentioned, plays with a goal of building a base, training troops and leading them to victory, which is extremely similar to those of “Clash of Clans”. That means, you will have to plan your own unique strategy. On the one hand, you can build your base as strong as enough so that your enemies won’t easily raid your base. On the other hand, you can directly attack other players for loot that can be reused to build your base.

Second Earth is not just a strategy game, but a social game that supports Facebook Invitation and Guild Build. So if you love Clash of Clans, you will definitely love this sci-fi strategy game.

On a side note, I think the visuals of Second Earth easily remind me of Galaxy Factions. Both of the games share a lot similarities.
