League of Shadows: Dark Fantasy Clan-based Strategy Game

League of Shadows is yet another copycat of Clash of Clans with a dark fantasy theme. It was originally released for Android in Q3, 2013 and lately developer PlayCoMo has released it on iOS.

The core gameplay that made League of Shadows enjoyable contributes to the mechanics of Clash of Clans, even if many of the individual pieces have changed. The art designs reminds me of “League of Legends” and its sounds are pretty good.

As for its downside, you will see your troops that are engaged in the battle won’t survive and you cannot recover it again. This mechanism is also similar to that of Clash of Clans, but a lot of players in the community of Clash of Clans would love to see the fact that surviving troops can be recovered. This way could save a lot of time to build troops for next battle.

Fortunately, IGG has developed Castle Clans to cater for the need of the players. There are a lot of improvements in Castle Clans designed from the perspective of players. But for League of Shadows, it is still changed on the surface.

  1. This site is a real embarrassment to COC players. You sound like a 12 yr old who is way too obsessed with COC that you just diss other “copy’s”. Sure, the one that is EXACTLY like COC is bad, but games like Samurai Siege are good. It has different features. It doesn’t cost 25000 gold to move a stone. It’s art style is fun. You also unlock troops via campaign, which is nice when I don’t want to spend lots of gold to get a new unit. Also, advanced troop training, let’s you train all in one place, you don’t have to switch between training camps to train maybe 50 units.

Tl;dr this blog makes you look like an ass.

  2. You are a complete idiot how can this game be a ripoff of clash of clans when clash of clans is a ripoff of backyard monsters? which is probably a ripoff of something else?

    1. Anonymous i was going to say the exact same thing. league of shadows is similar to coc but is not exactly the same. and i was even going to mention the fact that backyard monsters was a lot like it too but is years older… but it definitely is not a rip off of coc. its called a tower defense game. they are all similar, one of if not the first ones was from 1990 called Rampart. besides league of shadows looks way cooler than clash of clans.
